NaNoWriMo, Friends Doing Awesome Things, and Finding Motivation

My friends are so inspiring to me. Like honestly, seeing them do the things they love always makes me feel inspired to keep doing what I do. With NaNoWriMo coming up, I know you know how important that is. There are some things coming up that I’m honestly SO excited for that you should be hearing about soon in regards to things my friends are doing. You’ll be amazed!

One thing I love about the writing community on Twitter is seeing people being happy for each other. Celebrating in other people reaching their goals can be so uplifting. Yeah it can get competitive at times, but honestly, I just love looking at someone and going, “Hey, I’ve seen that person once or twice, OMG they got a book deal!”

Why am I mentioning all this chummy friendship love stuff? You shall see, all in due time, but I’m really happy for my friends. That’s all I’ll say for now 😏

As far as writing goes, I’ve actually been writing more lately, as in quantity of words in each writing session. I’m so happy to be going back to being able to keep enough concentration to get out a long writing session and retain my thoughts for the next go round, haha. I’ve taken to writing footnotes at the end of each chapter so I don’t forget!

I’ve also went back to reading at full blast and I can’t tell you how great it is to be back at it! I’m currently reading We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal and guys. This book gives me such life. I’m so taken by the characters and culture and world building. I can’t wait to finish it, but at the same time, I don’t want it to end.

On a completely different note, did you guys see the Area 51 memes from the raid? Its was HI-LAR-I-OUS. I don’t know why seeing a bunch of nerds wanting to see some aliens was so inspiring, but it was. It was like everything amazing about the internet joined together in one place and became WALKING memes. If you haven’t indulged yourself to reading up on it, I suggest you check out #area51 on Reddit and Twitter. You’re welcome.

I’ve been working out more lately, a personal commitment I’ve been holding myself to. And at first it was really hard to see it as something I actually wanted to do, more so something I needed to do, but I’ve finally found a niche where the two meet, with dancing and finding workouts that I can actually push through. And it’s made me feel pretty motivated!

We’ll see how long this lasts.

Anyway! That’s it for me, a bit of a more personal post. I’m trying to do more of these, be more personal.

Catch you guys later!
